It’s a nice little vineyard with a quirky name. From their website: “Mountain lore has it that back in the day, farmers would burn their fields to clear the land on Burntshirt Mountain for planting. They tossed their shirts in the fire for good luck, and the fields yielded a bountiful crop.” Burntshirt Vineyards carries on the tradition, with a family-run wine business that spans 80 years. Even if you aren’t here for the nectar of the grape, the food from their kitchen is also worth a visit. For more information, visit burntshirtvineyards.com.
